In the aspiration of fulfilling UniKL's Vision and Mission, TDID has come up with a programme to specifically cater to the segment of producing Technopreneurs amongst UniKL's students. The programme is entitled 'Teknoputra Grooming Big Programme'.
People may want to know what the programme is all about. The intuitive programme was envisioned and made realised by Dr. Sulaiman Sajilan , TDID Director. Dr. Sulaiman submitted a comprehensive working paper to the Ministry of Entrepreneurship and Co-operative Development last year and UniKL was granted RM1,000,000 to be disbursed for the programme.
The programme is aimed to transform UniKL's students into a true technopreneur who is highly motivated, charismatic, able to sustain in a highly competitive market, able to keep up with the latest technology and able to operate and manage a sound business entity.

Financial aid is given in the form of fees and allowances up to RM20 000 for qualified students. Through this cooperative-education scheme, students will be placed in selected industries as ‘workers’
- to gain related experience
- to have better exposure
- to enhance technopreneurship skills
The Professional Certification that is highly recognised by the industries will definitely give students the value added edge required to complete in the relevent industries.

The Requirements
o UniKL Diploma / Degree / Postgraduate Students
o UniKL Diploma students in semester 4
o UniKL Degree students in semester 6
o CGPA > 3.00
o Completed the KAKS and LKS courses
o Proficient in English
The grant offered is up to RM35 000 for qualified students. Students will join Government Link Company (GLC) or Multi National Corporation (MNC) regardless local or overseas as apprentice or on attachment to have better exposure. This programme will expose students to modern technology companies as well as improve their working skills and their confidence level. This grant includes accommodation, allowances, transportation and pocket money.

The grant act as a funding for operational cost for incubate enrolled to incubator at UniKL City Campus or in other MARA institutes. The grant will be categorised under;
- Research & Development
Duration not exceeding 6 months and maximum cost not exceeding RM20 000
- Design & Product Development
Duration not exceeding 6 months and maximum cost not exceeding RM 30 000
- The Conformation of Standards and Regulations and Protection of Intellectual Property
Duration not exceeding 6 months and maximum cost not exceeding RM 20 000
- Technology Demonstrations
Duration not exceeding 4 months and maximum cost not exceeding RM 5 000

The purpose of this scheme is to assist the potential technopreneurs in acquiring the essential technology either locally or internationally.
