- Step 2: Complete the application form.
Include a non-refundable RM 100 processing fee together with the form. International applicants may send bank draft and paid U.S. currency for the processing fee.
- Step 3: You must also ensure that the following accompanies your application:
If English is not the language of instruction in your country, you will need to demonstrate the ability to communicate satisfactorily in English through an accepted international English test such as the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). We usually require students to have IELTS 6.5, TOEFL 480+. If you have another English qualification, please tell us what it is and we can take that into consideration. For further information about either of the English tests, we would recommend the following websites:
Students, who are unable to sit for the TOEFL/IELTS test or have not achieved the required standard in either test, will be required to sit for the English Placement Test (EPT). Those who pass the EPT will continue straight into the diploma/degree programme offered by the university , while those who have not achieved the required standard will have to undergo a 6 months English Preparatory Programme (EPP).
- Step 4: Once we have received your application and transcripts, you may be asked to send us further information. For example some programmes may require an interview, or samples of your work. If the need arises we will arrange for questionnaires to be faxed or mailed to you.
Once you have fulfilled the admission requirements, the university will issue you one of the two types of letters of acceptance:
- Letters of Acceptance :( This will offer you a direct admission into our programme.)
- If you receive a full offer you now have a place in the programme you have applied. You must accept your offer before the expiry date printed on the offer letter.
- Please note that due to the popularity of some programmes, early acceptance of offers is strongly encouraged.
- Conditional Letter of Acceptance (This will offer you admission to a post-secondary programme conditional on either: your successful completion of our English programmes at UniKL or presentation of a TOEFL score of 480 or equivalent prior to entry into the programmes in UniKL.)
If you receive a full offer you now have a place in the programme you have applied. You must accept your offer before the expiry date printed on the offer letter. Please note that due to the popularity of some programmes, early acceptance of offers is strongly encouraged.
If you receive a conditional offer you have a place in the programme if you meet the conditions specified. Conditions may include forwarding final examination results or English language test score.
To accept the offer, please send the following to UniKL International Students Department (UniKL ISD)
- Completed Offer Response Form
- Sponsored students must include a letter of authority from their sponsor which includes details of the name of the programme, details of the company or person (sponsor) who will pay the tuition fees, and any other arrangements covered by the sponsor.
Once we have received formal acceptance of your offer we will then send you an acceptance package which includes your visa, receipts for payments made and an UniKL Arrival Guide. Students must enrol into the programme on the date, time and location specified in the information sent prior to your arrival. Timetables and booklists will be provided after enrolment.
