On January 8, 2012, a total of 350 new students have registered for the program offered at UniKL Business School (UniKL BIS), BBA (ME), BBA (IF) and the BOA to take the opportunity to enter the pre-graduate programs.They will undergo studies for the two years to four years, as the program adopted and approved credit transfer.

Before the start of study, all new students are required to participate in Minggu Silaturrahim (MSR) January 2012 for five days, from January 9, 2012 to January 13, 2012 in the Dewan Saleha, Level 23, Plaza Rah Condominium, Kuala Lumpur and UniKL BiS, Level 22 and 23, UniKL City Campus.

The purpose of MSR is to expose them to the background of the University of Kuala Lumpur, generally and UniKL Business School, in particular. In addition, emphasis is given to explain the appearance of ethics rules and students, educational assistance, such as MARA, PTPTN, the State Government etc., accommodation, student activities, facilities and security, library, lectures and academic schedules to be observed.

MSR January 2012 Opening Ceremony was held successfully on 10 January 2012 and be completed by the Tuan Haji Bahari Ab Wahab, Deputy Director I, Higher Education Division, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) representing Y.Bhg. Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad, Director General of MARA. In his speech, he mentioned that students should focus on their studies and take advantage of all the things during their studies in UniKL BiS. Seize the opportunity, excellence in academic and active in extra-curricular as well as enhance the value added services such as inter personal skills, technopreneurship, self-esteem and others. The program began with singing the national anthem (Negaraku), MARA, Nakhoda Kemajuan and 1Malaysia. It was also attended by all academician and management staff of UniKL BiS.

For Academic Session January 2012, our campus received 4 International students, 1 from Italy, 1 from Indonesia and 2 from Yemen. Overall, there are 7 international students studied at UniKL BiS.

MSR January 2012 program filled with briefing sessions, Opening & Closing Ceremony, Group Training Session (LDK), Sport and Recreation, Groups Performing, Motivation Segment, Spirituality and Discipline Slot.

Programs are Academic Briefing, Facilities and Safety, Student Affairs (HEMs) related Education Assistance, Accommodation, Insurance, Discipline, Character Building, Student Ethics and Library Tour.

All new students divided into 15 subgroups. LDK held on the second day of MSR to enable them to know each other more closely and cooperate with the success of each activity.

Motivation Talk segment served by the Works Assoc. Prof. Datuk Dr. Che Omar bin Che Musa who is also a Professor at UniKL BiS. Title of his talk was motivation and career of choice. It took place on January 12, 2012.

After Motivational Talk segment end, MSR closing ceremony was held and it is executed by the Assoc. Prof Dr. Sulaiman Sajilan, Dean, UniKL BiS. Programs are speech by new student representative, closing the opening speech by the Dean UniKL BiS, reading the pledge students, student performance and OC, presentation of prizes to the best group, best new students (male, female category) and photo shoots section.

UniKL BiS MSR January 2012 organised by the HEMs UniKL BiS and assist by Orientation Committee (OC) consisting of senior students who have undergone OC Induction Course before. In addition, they also gain the cooperation of the UniKL BiS Dean and all administrative and academic staff.
