Enhance R&D projects: UniKL and MIMOS partners up

 

MIMOS Berhad has signed 13 memorandums of understanding (MoU) with 12 local universities/institutes and one of them being Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) as part of the realisation of the national project themed ‘Collaborative Research towards Building a K-nation’. The objective of this project is to create a centre of excellence for the development of frontier technology in driving K-nation as a result of a coalition between the corporate world and the academia. Hence, the partnership between UniKL and MIMOS will be geared towards enhancing collaborative R&D projects in the fields of advanced informatics, wireless broadband, information security, knowledge security, artificial intelligence, grid computing, microelectronics and semiconductors.


The ceremony was witnessed by the Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation and Deputy Minister of Higher Education took place on June 26, 2007 at the Palace of the Golden Horses, Kuala Lumpur.
