As part of its effort in enhancing its capabilities as a developer of key human resources in IT and Multimedia, Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) has been aggressively establishing active collaboration with esteemed partners , the latest being Kolej Yayasan Sabah (KYS). The working relationship with KYS was sealed in an MOU signing ceremony graced by Yang Amat Berhormat Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman, the Chief Minister of Sabah on June 14th, 2008. The MOU aims to establish collaboration between the two partners in the fields of technical, education, animation and other related activities.

    For the ceremony, MIIT was represented by Y.Bhg. Prof. Dato' Dr. Abdul Hakim bin Juri, President of UniKL while KYS was represented by Dr. Dayang Aminah Ali, CEO of KYS. Also present at the ceremony were Prof. Dr. Mohd Azemi Mohd Noor, Deputy President (Academic & Technology) and Dr. Roslan Bin Ismail, Dean of MIIT.

   MIIT also participated in a dialogue session held shortly after the MOU signing along with other multimedia and animation companies and other organizations including MOSTI and MDEC. The dialogue session discussed several pertinent issues such as the revolution of new animation technology and film & animation project and factors influencing  the career opportunities in the  related field just to name a few.
