A total of 37 students of Institute of Product Design and Manufacturing (IPROM) received Dean’s List awards on July 11, 2008 at UniKL City Campus. This award is presented to the students with GPA of more or equal to 3.50 and has not obtained less than C grade for any subject in the current trimester. Recipients must also have registered for a subject load of not less than 12 credit hours to be listed in the Dean’s List for the respective trimester. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, President/CEO UniKL attended the ceremony and presented all the award.

In his speech, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim stressed that the students shoulder the responsibility to acquire knowledge and skills as much as possible. Hence, the students need to be prepared mentally and physically to be able to participate actively in the learning process.

Dean of IPROM, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ahmad Zakaria advised his students to use their power of choice wisely as the university has provided good facilities and academicians. It is up to the students to fully utilise these advantages which will help them to be an excellent student.

During the ceremony, there were “Know your lecturer and campus” quiz and performances by July Intake 2008 students. The performances were evaluated by three judges; Dr. Abdul Razak Abdul Hadi, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mohd Mansor Salleh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Razif Idris, and categorised according to programmes; Bachelor in Tool and Die, Bachelor in Product Design, Bachelor in Business Management and Bachelor in Supply Chain Management.

The most anticipated activities among the students and staff of IPROM was lucky draw with a total of 15 gifts presented. At the end of the ceremony, students of IPROM grab the golden opportunity to capture the special moment with the President.
