The President of Queen’s University of Belfast paid a courtesy visit to UniKL on Feb 14, 2009. This visit was made possible after the signing of the MoA on Jan 28, 2009 at QUB. Discussions held that day looked into the possibility of fostering stronger ties between both parties on areas of mutual understanding. Producing Nobel Laureate would be the long term goal of the collaboration. 

The delegates from Queen’s University were the President, Prof Peter J. Gregson, Dr. B. Sen Gupta, Ms. Joan Reilly, Trevor Newsom, and Kevin Mulhern. After the discussion with Prof Dato Dr Hakim Juri and other key members of the Managementof UniKL, the QUB delegates were brought on a short campus tour.
