UniKL Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI) was visited by delegates from University Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany on March 17, 2009. The objective of this visit was to expose their students on technical and vocational education system and facilities in UniKL and to enlighten them on opportunities and future prospects in Mechatronical Engineering specifically in Malaysia. UniKL MSI Taekwondo team participated in the National Invitational Taekwondo Tournament hosted by UiTM Permatang Pauh, Pulau Pinang from 28th Feb – 1st March 2008. There were 350 participants in the tournament which included Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris, Politeknik, and UiTM. The match was a blend of old and new members as they compete to win the tournament. This year for the first time, the tournament was amazed by a female participant from UniKL MSI who swapped the gold medal. The new female fighter had just registered in January 2009. The other fighters are listed as below:
1) Mohd Zikri Bin Zaharim, 2) Mohd Amin, 3) Mohd Dazrul Azri Zual Hasnan, 4) Ahmad Izhan, 5) Wan Fazliawahida Bt Wan Yusoff The team won 1 gold medal, 1 silver and 2 bronze. 1) Mohd Zikri Bin Zaharim Silver & Bronze 2) Mohd Amin, Bronze 3) Wan Fazliawahida Bt Wan Yusoff Gold Their participation in this tournament was a preparation for them to enter the National Open WTF Taekwondo Tournament at Universiti Malaysia Sabah which will commence on 20-22 March 2009.
