The 2008/2009 student Representative Council (MPM)
with UniKL President/CEO Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri.

A meeting between UniKL President/CEO Y.Bhg Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri and the new appointed 2008/2009 Student Representative Council or Majlis Perwakilan Mahasiswa (MPM) was held at Senate Meeting Room, UniKL City Campus on March 6, 2009. The MPM members were selected among Students Representative Committee (Jawatankuasa Perwakilan Mahasiswa) from all UniKL Campuses nationwide through a university election on January 25 to 28, 2009. Also present at the meeting were representatives from Student Affairs Division, Hj. Bahtiar Kasbi, Senior Manager and Mr. Norhisham Supandi, Assistant Manager.

The meeting began with the introduction of all MPM members followed by the explanation on UniKL’s vision and mission by Y.Bhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri. He emphasized that the students’ council played a vital role in realizing the university’s vision and mission. He also advised the MPM members to be committed, reliable, and dedicated in handling the responsibilities given to them and must prepare to make a lot of sacrifices.

Although the weight of responsibilities are laid on their shoulders as MPM members, the President reminded them on their duty as a student which is to be successful academically. The MPM had the opportunity to asked the President a few questions in the Q&A session. At the end of the meeting, the President wished the MPM members the best of luck and hoped that the meeting could be held once in every semester
