Opening remarks by Mr. Ahmad Shahrafidz Khalid, UniKL City Campus Open Day Project Director

UniKL City Campus Open Day was successfully officiated by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, the President/CEO of UniKL on March 27, 2009 with hope that the event will introduced UniKL to the public specifically potential students. The event was held until March 28, 2009.

Jointly organised by three institutes in City Campus, namely Malaysia Institute of Information Technology (MIIT), Institute of Product Design and Manufacturing (IPROM), and Institute of Medical Science Technology (MESTECH), the two days event was filled with various activities along with students’ exhibition and performances. UniKL students participated in the event by opening exhibition booths of their respective programmes and courses, such as Creative Multimedia (CM), Information System (IS), Software Engineering (SE), and System Networking (SN). IPROM and MESTECH students also took part by opening their exhibition booth.

Also present at the opening ceremony were Prof. Dr. Mohd Azemi Mohd Noor, Deputy President of Academic and Technology, Prof. Dr. Abu Talib Othman, Deputy President of Technopreneur and Student Affairs, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Roslan Ismail, Dean of UniKL MIIT, and Mr. Ahmad Shahrafidz Khalid, Project Director of UniKL City Campus Open Day.

Among other students’ activities conducted during the event was Experimental Design and Construction Competition organised by IPROM, UniKL Idol, and Cosplay.
