Malaysian Institute of Information Technology UniKL City Campus (MIIT UniKL City Campus) has took proactive measures in strengthening its Bachelor in Computer System Security programme by forming strategic partnership with a key industry player in the field, DIGICERT Sdn. Bhd. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Y.Bhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, President/Chief Executive Officer, UniKL and Y.Bhg Dato’ Noor Azli Othman, Chief Executive Officer, DIGICERT Sdn. Bhd. on October 2, 2009 at UniKL City Campus.

 

The partnership with DIGICERT Sdn. Bhd., a leading digital Certification Authority (CA) in Malaysia providing trust solutions for e-businesses and e-government initiatives, is meant to provide customised training for MIIT students and lecturers especially in critical areas of cyber security as well as to provide real-life industrial experience to students and lecturers through Student Internship Programme and Lecturer Attachment Programme. Besides these, the MoU also aimed to review the Bachelor of IT (Hons) in Computer System Security (BCSS) course structure and syllabus, so that the course would befitting the needs of the industry thus making the course more marketable.
