The academic milestone for UniKL in 2010 begins with an international collaboration sealed with Chungju National University, Korea (CJNU) through a Memorandum of Understanding with the purpose to endeavour academic and educational cooperation between both universities. The signing ceremony was held at UniKL City Campus on January 15, 2010.

Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, UniKL President/CEO represented UniKL for the signing whilst Chungju National University was represented by its President, Prof. Dr. Byung-Jib Jang. This MoU signified cooperation between UniKL and CJNU to exchange expertise among its academic staff for the purpose of research and training as well as to endeavour students exchange programme. CJNU is a university in the Republic of Korea which specialises in IT, BT, Environment-friendly Material Industry, Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Humanities, Health and Life Sciences, with 10 000 students at present.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by UniKL Deputy President (Technology &Academic), Prof. Dr. Mohamad Azemi Mohamad Noor and Prof. Dr. Doo-Won Lee, Dean, International Affairs CJNU.
