Y.B. Dato’ Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob, Minister of Domestic Trade, Co-operatives and Consumerism has graced the closing ceremony of SSM-UniKL Outreach Programme at UniKl City Campus. Held from January 27, this event came to a closing on January 29, 2010.

In his speech, Y.B. Minister applauded the cooperation between SSM and UniKL in nurturing young entrepreneurs to be fit for the global market and announced the funding of RM30,000 to support UniKL’s ‘Koperasi Siswa’ (KOSISWA). He also took the opportunity to remind new entrepreneurs to adhere to the procedures of law in setting up their business and to constantly consult related agencies such as Suruhanjaya Syarikat Malaysia (SSM) for advice and guidance. This step is necessary to prevent entrepreneurs from committing commercial crimes.

Launching of SSM Mobile Registration Counter
In conjunction with this event, Y.B. Minister also launched SSM tagline ‘Perniagaan anda Bermula di SSM’ and SSM’s Mobile Registration Counter. This 3-day event, which was open to public and students, has attracted 4000 visitors and 500 entrepreneurs had turned up to register their companies at SSM registration counter. Also present were, Y.B. Datuk Dr. Adham Baba, Chairman, UniKL Board of Directors, Y.Bhg. Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, President/ Chief Executive Officer, UniKL and Y.Bhg. Dato’ Azmi Ariffin, Chief Executive Officer, SSM.

A prize giving ceremony was also held during the event for sketch competition, catur bestari competition, entrepreneurship competition and booth competition, participated by IPTA and IPTS students. The results are as follows:
