Malaysian Institute of Information Technology ( MIIT ) has recently organised a Dean’s Award Ceremony to honour a total of 121 MIIT students with excellent academic performance for the Semester of July – December 2009. The Ceremony that took place at Bestari Lecture Hall was also attended by both the Management and Academic staff of the institute.

Prof. Dr. Roslan Ismail, Dean of MIIT, officiated the Ceremony as well as presented the certificates to a total of 36 Diploma and 85 Bachelor students.

Ahmad Faqih Sadiq bin Mohd Fuad from Diploma of Engineering Technology in Computing and Adiaa Syakirah binti Amir Hamzah from Bachelor of Multimedia Technology ( Hons ) in Interactive Multimedia Design emerged as the Best Students for both Diploma and Bachelor levels. Muhammad Fadhli Kamil Bin Ahmad Fauzi from Bachelor of Multimedia Technology (Hons) in Computer Animation Design was also presented with a Special Award for his multiple accomplishments in the area of Creative Multimedia and Animation.

Kamil’s long string of achievements among others includes:
•    Appointed Judge for Pertandingan Kemahiran Malaysia 2009 / 2010 ( ICT: Graphic Design Technology )
•    First Place ( Best Animation ) in ANIMAX 2009 Competition ( IPT Category )
•    Merit Award for Best Tertiary Student Project ( Creative Multimedia ) in MSC APICTA 2009 Awards
•    Finalist for Karyawan Muda 2008 Competition ( Animation Category )
•    Malaysian Representative ( Graphic Design Technology ) for the 38th World Skills Competition in Helsinki, Finland, 2005
•    Gold Award ( Graphic Design Technology ) for Pertandingan Kemahiran Malaysia Ke 14, 2004
•    MIIT Dean’s List Recipient for Semester 1 – 6 ( Diploma )

Other than certificate giving presentation, the Ceremony was also made memorable with beautiful rendition of songs by members of the SUARA Club as led by Mohd Sahimi Ibrahim and Khairul Farizie Adnan from MIIT.
