“UniKL MICET is an advantage for us in Melaka”, said Y.A.B. Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of the historical city, Melaka, during his working visit to UniKL Malaysian Institute of Chemical and Bioengineering Technology (UniKL MICET) at Taboh Naning on March 4, 2010. “Especially now, that there is a need in the development of bioengineering and biotech”, he added in his speech. This working visit was held to provide a platform for discussion on issues pertaining the prospect and development of UniKL MICET.

Chairman, UniKL Board of Directors, Y.B. Datuk Dr. Adham Baba welcomed the Chief Minister at UniKL MICET together with UniKL President/CEO, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri and Dean of UniKL MICET Prof. Dr. Azanam Shah Hashim and other management members of UniKL. Other distinguished guests who had also graced the ceremony were, Y.B. Datuk Haji Yaakub Md Amin, Chairman of Education, Science & Technology and Human Resources State Committee, Y.B. Datuk Haji Abdul Wahab Abd. Latiip, Deputy Chairman of Education, Science & Technology and Human Resources State Committee and Y.B. Datuk Latipah Omar, Deputy Chairman of Transportation, Information and Consumer State Committee.
