MSET Engineering Technology Colloquium 2010

“The Role of Engineering Technologist in Nurturing Innovative and Knowledgeable Leaders in High Income Nation”

A half day Engineering Technology Colloquium organised by Malaysian Society of Engineering Technologist (MSET) on August 9, 2010 at UniKL City Campus has enlightened issues pertaining Engineering Technology among its community. The colloquium has gathered MSET members and non-members from industries, MARA, UniKL as well as students majoring in engineering technology.

With currently 1,561 members, this colloquium aimed to gather and share information on the latest development of Engineering Technology in Malaysia, discuss Engineering Technology issues in terms of objectives, approaches, processes and implementation as well as to establish strategic and global networking among Engineering Technologists. UniKL President/CEO who is also MSET President, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri has graced the ceremony.

The colloquium covered wide spectrum of topics regarding engineering technology through five presenters:

Tuan Haji Ahmad Tajudin Jab, Director, Technical and Vocational Education Division, Ministry of Education:

Prof. Dr. Wan Mohamad Wan Abdullah, MSET Executive Secretary:
“Board of Technology in the Making: Latest Development”.

Encik Mohamad Sulaiman, Director, Planning & Research, Department of Skill Development, Ministry of Human Resources:
“Enhancing Technical and Vocational Education in Malaysia”.
