Universiti Kuala Lumpur delegates consisting of UniKL Deputy President (Academic & Technology) Prof. Dr. Mohamad Azemi Mohd Noor, Prof. Dr. Abu Talib Othman, Deputy President (Technopreneur & Student Affairs) and Director of Technopreneur Development and Innovation Division (TDID), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud went on a working visit to Bandung, Indonesia on August  2 till 7, 2010. This working visit was held to formalise a collaboration with Universitas Sangga Buana (USB), Bandung in a Memorandum of Understanding ceremony held in conjunction with its 4th Convocation Ceremony.

Exchange of MoU between UniKL and USB

The MoU will enable both parties to cooperate in the exchange of expertise particularly in the area of R&D as well as exchange of academic staff and students. UniKL was represented by Prof. Dr. Mohamad Azemi Mohd Noor for the signing whilst USB was represented by its Rector, Mr. Deden Sutisna Mn. The ceremony was witnessed by Prof. Dr. Abu Talib Othman and Prof. H.T. Dzulkarnain Amin, Chairman of YPKP (Yayasan Pendidikan Keuangan dan Perbankan).

Besides the MoU, the working visit was also aimed to explore opportunities and discussed on possible academic collaboration with various technical institutions in Bandung. The delegates visited Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), Universitas Islam Bandung and Politeknik Manufaktur Negeri Bandung (POLMAN) on August 5 and 6 to discuss possible areas of collaboration and academic joint venture. A round table discussion was held with POLMAN in the areas of production based education implementation as well as exchange of expertise, education business model, mobility of staff and students and technopreneur development.
