A Memorandum of Understanding between Universiti Kuala  Lumpur and University of Applied Sciences Dresden, Germany / Hochschule für Technik und Wirtschaft Dresden (HTWD) was ascertained on September 6, 2010 with a purpose to develop academic and educational collaborations and to promote mutual understandings and cooperation between the universities.

A simple yet meaningful signing ceremony was held at UniKL to formalise this collaboration, where UniKL’s President/CEO, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri penned down the pact with HTWD’s Rector, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil. Roland Stenzel. The signing was witnessed by Dean of UniKL MITEC, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khairanum Subari. Also present were Dean of IPROM UniKL Assoc. Prof. Dr Raja Aziz Raja Maarof, and Director of International Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jamel Othman, whilst HTWD was witnessed by Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil.  Prof. H.C. Hannes Neumann and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Habil.  Norbert Gebhardt.

Besides the MoU, the working visit from HTWD to UniKL was also aimed to explore opportunities and discussed on possible academic collaboration in the exchange of expertise particularly in the area of R&D, curriculum development as well as the exchange of academic scholars and students.
