Universiti Kuala Lumpur formalised the collaboration with BETA Mutiara Sdn. Bhd. in a Memorandum of Understanding exchange ceremony held at UniKL City Campus on September 29, 2010. Y.B. Datuk Dr. Adham Baba, UniKL Chairman and Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, UniKL President/CEO were present during the ceremony exchanging MoU with Y. Bhg. Dato’ Johar Abas, Executive Chairman of BETA Mutiara and En. Fakharuddin, BETA Mutiara Executive Director.

The main purpose and the focus of this collaboration is to develop additional hostels for UniKL using ‘Built-Operate-Transfer’ scheme through Private Funding Initiative (PFI).
