Universiti Kuala Lumpur has officially launched an industry-academia linkage with Consist College Sdn. Bhd. in promoting Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental and Quality Management through strategic alliance with UniKL British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI). Both parties ascertained the pact in a simple yet meaningful Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony on October 21, 2010 at UniKL City Campus.
UniKL was represented by UniKL President/CEO, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri for the signing whilst Consist College was represented by its Chief Executive, Ar. Tuan Haji Mior Zawari Haji Hassan. The signing was witnessed by Dean of UniKL BMI, Prof. Dr. Badri Abu Bakar and Mr. Sharudin Alias, Head of Academic Consist College.

This collaboration signify an endeavour for both parties to jointly conduct and develop academic and professional training programmes in the field of Safety, Occupational Health, Environmental and Quality Management. This include, twinning, transfer and exchange of staff for the purpose of research, training and developments of the programmes.
Other distinguished guests who were present during the ceremony were, UniKL Deputy President (Academic & Technology), Prof. Dr. Mohamad Azemi Mohd Noor, Prof. Dr. Abu Talib Othman, UniKL Deputy President (Technopreneur & Student Affairs), representatives from Consist College, management members of UniKL and UniKL BMI.
