Once again, Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT) made history when the campus formalised academic alliances with Republic of Yemen and Hodeidah University, Yemen in a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony held on October 21, 2010 at UniKL MIAT, Dengkil.
The Republic of Yemen was represented by its Deputy Minister of Education Affairs, Dr. Ali Qasem Ismael, whilst Hodeidah University, Yemen was represented by its President, Dr. Hussen Omer Abu Bakar Qadi for the signing. The collaboration was sealed by UniKL Chairman, Y.B. Datuk Dr. Adham Baba, witnessed by UniKL President/CEO, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri and Mr. Eqbal Al-Alas, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of The Republic of Yemen.

The MoU signify cooperation between UniKL, Republic of Yemen and Hodeidah University to develop and enhance academic and educational programmes particularly to enable exchange of students for the purpose of value-added study and research. This MoU also is a platform for all parties to discover potential collaboration that would benefit both countries in the areas of education, R&D and culture.
