Universiti Kuala Lumpur had carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme on February 10, 2011 to help the flood victims in Melaka. This Baktisiswa Programme was organised by the Student Affairs Department of Malaysian Institute of Information Technology (MIIT, UniKL City Campus) and was jointly participated by its Deputy Dean (Student Affairs & Technopreneur) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shamsul Anuar Mokhtar and Manager, Corporate Communication Division, Mdm. Juraya Dolit as well as 15 students from MIIT, UniKL.
The humanitarian entourage had delivered the donation of 100 cartons mineral water to the victims who were still at the flood victim’s relief centre at Sekolah Kebangsaan Parit Penghulu, Sungai Rambai. According to some of the victims, they had been in the relief centre for over a week and were unable to return to their respective homes due to the unsettling flood in the areas.
Earlier, the symbolic of the donation hand over had taken place at the official residence of Y.A.B. Datuk Seri Haji Mohd Ali Mohd Rustam, Chief Minister of Melaka.
