UniKL Students Bagged 3 Bronze Medals at NRIC 2011

Final year students from Universiti Kuala Lumpur bagged home 3 bronze medals at the recent National Research and Innovation Competition 2011 (NRIC'11) organised by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) on June 22 till 25, 2011.  The competition was officiated by the Deputy Secretary General of Management, Ministry of Higher Education, Y. Bhg. Datuk Haji Omar Bin Abd. Rahman.


The competition and exhibition which was held at the Students’ Main Hall, USM, featured a total of 119 projects by 16 higher learning institutions involving some 400 undergraduates. It was organised by USM’s student representative council in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and main sponsors by Motorola.


The four-day event saw the participation of two institutes from Brunei and Thailand — Jefri Bolkiah College of Engineering and King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi respectively.


This is the fifth series of the competition, still endeavored its original purpose to provide useful input to the students on the importance of research and innovation for the country's human capital development.  Besides being a platform for young scientists to exchange ideas and share experiences, it also enhances the interest in research and innovation among students.
