12 Oct 2011, Shah Alam – The vendor for Proton and Perodua, Autokeen Sdn. Bhd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Universiti Kuala Lumpur setting the framework for enhancing academic and cultural linkages with each other through the provision of preparatory, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, professional training, joint research and other academic services.
Signing for UniKL is its President/CEO, Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, while Autokeen Sdn. Bhd. was represented by En. Asyraf Abdul Rahman, Autokeen Managing Director.

“Here, both parties pledge that this co-operation is based on mutual trust and fair performance to pull off a sustainable relationship,” said Prof. Dato’ Dr. Abdul Hakim Juri, President/CEO of UniKL in his remarks. He also said, both parties agreed to encourage co-operation between them in the areas of education, engineering and project management that will benefit the parties.
Additionally, this industry-education sector cooperation allows both parties to enjoy technical and business cooperation in Research and Development and Commercialization (R&D&C) projects related to tool and die industry, human capital development, training in related areas that will benefit the Parties and also facility sharing between partners.

The simple but yet meaningful ceremony was also attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr Raja Aziz Raja Maarof, Dean, UniKL IPROM, Tuan Haji Rosly Ahmad, General Manager, Corporate Communication Division UniKL, Puan Asmah Mohd Tahir, Autokeen Financial Controller and senior officers of UniKL and Autokeen Sdn. Bhd.
A tour around Autokeen’s factory was arranged to see, understand and study the actual operation carried out by Autokeen. Both parties agreed to seriously to execute the collaboration understanding set forth.
