Assoc. Prof. Ir. Abu Hanifah Hj. Abdullah of UniKL MIAT was named the recipient of Anugerah Khas Inovasi Kementerian Kemajuan Luar Bandar dan Wilayah (KKLW) held on December 16, 2011 in a colourful ceremony held at Menara MARA, Kuala Lumpur.

Assoc. Prof. Ir. Abu Hanifah was the mentor of three UniKL IPROM students who won the top 5 position in the international “Fly Your Ideas” competition organised by AIRBUS at Paris Airshow Le-Bourget in June 2011. He was instrumental in mentoring and couching our UniKL “M’sia on Mars Team” consisting of students namely Ahmad Khairi, Wan Nor Hami and Airull Juhari.

Assoc. Prof. Ir. Abu Hanifah received a certificate from Y.Bhg Dato’ Ibrahim Muhamad, the Secretary General of KKLW. In attendance during the certificate presentation was the joint-chairman of the main committee consisting of Y.Bhg Datuk Ibrahim Ahmad, the Director General of MARA and Puan Zaniah Ahmad, the Division Secretary of KKLW. All agencies under the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development such as INFRA, FELCRA, RISDA, JAKOA, KETENGAH, KEMAS, KEDA, KEJORA, MARA and KESEDAR were also present at the ceremony.
