Institute of Research and Postgraduate Studies (IRPS)
was formed in 2005 and formally known as Centre for Research and Postgraduate Studies (CRPS). Its functioning mainly to coordinate research activities of UniKL, largely through the implementation of the Short Term Research Grant (STRG) and initiating postgraduate studies programmes.

Postgraduate Division The postgraduate division will function to manage all aspects of postgraduate studies at UniKL, and in liaison with institutes, the admission, monitoring and also evaluation of theses and examinations.

Research & Development Division This division’s vital role is to promote, coordinate and the sourcing of funds for research in UniKL. IRPS will be the reference and coordinating center for all grant applications, both internal (STRG) and from external agencies (FRGS, eScience, Technofund, Innofund).

Technology Transfer and Commercialisation Division The management of matters pertaining to intellectual property will be managed and coordinated by this division in accordance with the policies as stipulated in the UniKL Intellectual Property document.

Training Division The management of matters pertaining to intellectual property will be managed and coordinated by this division in accordance with the policies as stipulated in the UniKL Intellectual Property document.
