The Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) is home to the General Studies Unit and Preparatory Studies Unit. The centre is located at University Kuala Lumpur’s City Campus building, in the heart of the Kuala Lumpur city centre. The General Studies Unit (GSU) coordinates all academic matters related to the university’s General Studies subjects i.e. Languages, Religious and Moral Studies, Entrepreneurship and Co-curriculum. The Preparatory Studies Unit (PSU) manages the engineering foundation programme. Foundation Year students who pass the programme to the required level are prepared academically and socially to enrol into either University Kuala Lumpur or other recognised universities overseas. Together, the Units provide expert English language and fundamental academic knowledge and tuition, to enable students to enter into the university programmes.
