553 new students have successfully registered during the MIAT July Intake registration day, which took place on Sunday, 16th July 2017. This number has well exceeded the set target of 490 students, an achievement of 113% on the overall intake performance for both Diploma and Degree courses offered. Students accompanied by their parents coming from across Malaysia were seen arriving on campus site as early as 7 am in the morning to register into the program. Registration counters, which was stationed at MIAT Multipurpose Hall, were continuously filled with students the moment it opens at 8.30 am until the last student was successfully registered.   

The new registered students begin their University life journey with the tradition of the orientation week, led by a group of well-trained student orientation committee (OC), immediately after the registration process was officially closed at 1.00 pm. The orientation committee consisted of 38 senior students from various courses and semester, volunteered to coordinate the one-week Welcoming Orientation Week (WOW) for their fellow juniors. New students were exposed to the so-called "The Journey" modules throughout the week, in which the modules were particularly designed to equip the students in terms of physical and mind readiness to endure the challenge that awaits them in years to come as a University student.
