51 UniKL graduates are awarded CILTM Professional Recognition

A total of 51 Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) graduates from Malaysian Institute of Marine Engineering Technology (MIMET) and Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (MITEC) institutes were awarded with professional recognition of Accredited Academic Program by the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in Malaysia (CILTM).

It became more momentous for two graduates from the technical varsity – Ahmad Fakhruddin Ahmad Dailami and Intan NurAmera Yusaini from MITEC and MIMET respectively, when they received Best Student Awards.

CILTM in a statement said that the professional recognition was conferred in a special ceremony during the 19th CILTM Convocation, which was held virtually at Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC) on 13 November 2021.

Overall, a total of 512 graduates were awarded with professional recognition, while 19 graduates from 15 institutions received the Best Student Awards. Among the top 19 recipients, two graduates were awarded for prestigious President’s Award for their excellent academic performance this year.

The universities and colleges which participated in the convocation were UNIKL MIMET, UNIKL MITEC, Universiti Malaysia Terengganu, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan, Universiti Utara Malaysia, UCSI University, Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman, UiTM, Kolej Professional Mara Bandar Penawar, Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia, Meritus University, Politeknik Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, AK Academy, United Vision Academy and Royal Malaysia Navy.

The ceremony was graced by the CILT International President, Dato Ts Abd Radzak Abd Malek FCILT in attendance of President of CILT Malaysia and CILTM Management Councils, Dato’ Muhammad Muhiyuddin Haji Abdullah CMILT.

Notably, CILTM has been appointed as the National Industrial Lead Body (ILB) for the Logistics and Transport sector.

This is an exclusive and privileged appointment by Department of Skills Development (DSD), under Ministry of Human Resource which aims to support the national aspiration to develop and upgrade the competency skills and capabilities of personnel working in the sector in Malaysia.

For the record, CILTM’s Accredited Academic Program is a stamp of quality given to academic programs in the fields of logistics, transport, and supply chain management.
