UniKL bolsters academic partnership between Malaysia and Türkiye

New avenues for exploring more viable academic partnerships between Malaysia and Türkiye emerged after an enriching engagement session between Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) and the embassy of Türkiye held yesterday (April 12th).

Centering potential collaborations in curriculum and teaching quality, the discussion was led by the Ambassador of The Republic of Türkiye to Malaysia, His Excellency Emir Salim Yüksel and the President/Chief Executive Officer of UniKL, Datuk Dr. Roziah Omar, which took place at UniKL City Campus.

In a step of UniKL to further strengthen its global footprint, both parties agreed that the number of student exchanges should be increased substantially, to pave the way for mutually beneficial opportunities in the future.

As Malaysia’s premier private institution for Higher Technical and Vocational Education and Training (HTVET), UniKL has established itself as a leading player in the global education arena.

UniKL has proactively sought partnerships with internationally renowned universities and institutions to expand its global reach which includes Spain, France, Britain, Germany, Italy and other developed countries.

It is worth noting that this would not be UniKL’s first foray into a partnership with Türkiye, as its aviation-specialised campus, UniKL Malaysian Institute of Aviation Technology (UniKL MIAT), had previously signed a Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) with Turkish Aerospace Incorporation (TAI) in 2021.

For the record, the partnership aims to explore potential collaboration in aerospace education, technical training and applied research programmes in Malaysia.
