UniKL BMI to assist 100 asnaf under MAIWP into entrepreneurship

Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) has partnered with Universiti Kuala Lumpur British Malaysian Institute (UniKL BMI) to empower 100 asnaf entrepreneurs into sustainable, holistic and competitive entrepreneurship.

Under the Growthpreneur Success 2022, it will capitalise on the key strength of the UniKL BMI’s Teknoputra Unit to administer and supervise the participants during the course of a one-year entrepreneurship programme.

The programme was initiated with four days of an entrepreneurship course at the Institute of Leadership & Development (ILD), Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Bandar Enstek, Nilai from 28 November to 1 December 2022.

“The Entrepreneurship Course has taken place and the monitoring programme will be carried out starting January 1, 2023, where Mentors will visit each business premises four times a year.

“UniKL BMI has put forward experienced lecturers in the field of entrepreneurship to provide advisory services to assist them.

“UniKL BMI hopes that the cooperation is able to provide effective and efficient input to entrepreneurs in improving their respective business performance,” said the Gombak-based institute, in a statement.

For the record, MAIWP has allocated RM500,000 to materialise the project including an RM10,000 prize pool to 3 entrepreneurs who showcase outstanding performance.
