SELANGOR, 28 March – Universiti Kuala Lumpur Institute of Medical Science and Technology (UniKL MESTECH) created history when their team GLOIRE, comprising of Nalini Fahimi binti Mustapa, Mohamed Zul Fadli bin Khairuddin, Khairul Mustaffa bin Bokra and Khairul Nizam bin Md Isa won the Gold prize at the Central Region Mini Team Excellence Convention, an innovation convention organized by the Malaysia Productivity Cooperation (MPC).

The convention was held at the Grand Blue Wave Hotel, Shah Alam with the aim to provide a platform for quality experts and practitioners as well as enthusiasts from all over the country to learn from the experiences and good practices of other organisations and teams in improving productivity and processes using unique and practical innovations.

The convention saw participating teams presenting various improvement projects utilising a diverse quality improvement tools and techniques in showcasing their innovation projects. A panel of experienced judges evaluated the competing teams where several categories were contested; Gold and Silver awards, The Most Promising Circle award and The Best Young Innovative and Creative Circle award.

Accompanied by an interactive video designed by Ahmad Bazilin bin Ahmad Khasim, UniKL MESTECH presented a project titled ‘CASE STUDY IN UNIKL MESTECH: LEAN PROCESS IMPROVEMENT FOR STAFF CLAIM’. The simple but innovative presentation by team GLOIRE won the hearts of the judges, winning UniKL MESTECH the Gold prize award. With the achievement, the team will move on to compete at the ‘Regional Convention on Team Excellence 2017′ scheduled to be held in July this year.
