MARA Exempt Entrepreneurship Training for UniKL Genesis Programme Students

Universiti Kuala Lumpur undergraduates who enroll for the UniKL Genesis Programme will be exempted from attending the Entrepreneurship Training Module Course (Latihan Pembentukan Usahawan – LPU) conducted by Majlis Amanah Mara (MARA).

LPU is a compulsory entrepreneurship development courses that is pre-requisite to obtain MARA’s business financial assistance.

UniKL Teknoputra Division Director Ts Hj Mohd Nasir Hj Alias said he received the exemption notification from MARA Entrepreneurial Division Director En. Yahya Sani on June 29.

“Prior to this it is compulsory for all Genesis Programme students to register for the next phase of training conducted by UniKL. However, although they have been exempted from undergoing further training with MARA it is still compulsory for students to attend programmes held by Teknoputra without fail,” said Hj Mohd Nasir.

“The UniKL Genesis programme is a holistic and integrated entrepreneurship development programme for students pursuing diploma and degree courses in all 12 UniKL campuses,” said Hj Mohd Nasir. “Irrespective of their field of study the Genesis programme is to cater to those who may want to venture into business as entrepreneurs and future techopreneurs.”

UniKL Teknoputra Division, added Hj Mohd Nasir, provides a comprehensive module and training to help students setup their business.

“We are a one-stop center for all entrepreneurship information. There is a Teknoputra Unit in each of our 12 campuses and we welcome students and also alumni members to register with us,” he added. It is advised that all UniKL students grab this opportunities as early as possible.
