CONTINUING AIRWORTHINESS MANAGEMENT ORGANIZATION (CAMO) – PART M SUBPART G
Introduction
The Malaysian Civil Aviation Regulation (CAR) 2016, Regulation 26 (1) (a) states that “No person shall fly an aircraft unless – (a) there Certificate of Airworthiness (C of A) will only be issued whenever the aircraft is found to be in accordance with its design and in condition for safe operation.
Therefore, the aircraft must be periodically inspected in accordance to the maintenance program approved by an organization approved by the CAAM. The approved organization also ensure all the activities requires in the approved maintenance program are completed by inspection the aircraft. Any defects found on aircraft in service must also be repaired. The whole process is managing aircraft airworthiness.
Any organization intended to hold the approval must comply with the, Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Malaysia requirements in the (NOTICE 6101 – Continuing Airworthiness of Aircraft (DCAM Part M) and NOTICE 6102 – Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (DCAM Part M Subpart G)).
This course provides the participants with the understanding on the contents of NOTICE 6101 and 6102 (CAMO).

Introduction
Drone is a popular terminology for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). The ICAO uses the term Remote Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS). Most civil aviation authorities use the terminology of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). In Malaysia, UAS over 20 Kg must be registered, to register, it must have a certain design which is safe for operation. The applicants must show compliance the design is safe by complying to the chosen prescriptive standards of using design and manufacturing risk assessment using FMECA (Failure Mode Effect Critical Analysis).

Introduction
Drone is the terminology for flying a vehicle without a pilot onboard. The ICAO uses the term Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPS) for this kind vehicle. Most civil aviation authorities use the terminology of Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS). The size of over 150 Kg is potentially operating at a high altitude, longer range under Beyond Visual Line Of sight (BVLOS). Therefore, this UAS is an aircraft, referred to ICAO, which to be designed, manufactured, maintained as an aircraft.
