Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Automotive Maintenance

The Bachelor Degree in Engineering Technology in Automotive Maintenance at UniKL MFI prepares individuals to apply basic engineering principles and technical skills in support of automotive engineers and other automotive technology professionals engaged in developing, automotive manufacturing and testing self-propelled ground vehicles and their systems. Students majoring in Automotive Engineering Technology at UniKL MFI will be exposed to hands-on laboratory experience in automotive engineering processes, mechanical testing, metallurgy, emission and dynamometer testing

Upon graduation, the students of BET Automotive Maintenance are expected to have the ability to:

  • PLO 1
    Apply knowledge of mathematics, sciences and engineering fundamental and anengineering specialization to define and applied automotive engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies.
  • PLO 2
    Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly defined engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of automotive maintenance engineering technology.
  • PLO 3
    Design solutions for broadly defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the designs of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations.
  • PLO 4
    Conduct investigations of broadly defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion.
  • PLO 5
    Select and apply appropriate techniques, resources and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly defined engineering activities, with an understanding of the limitations.

    Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams.
