Bachelor of Automotive Engineering Technology (Maintenance) with Honours aims to support the Malaysia’s automotive industries aspirations towards becoming an industrialized nation by nurturing ethical, resilient and highly competent Automotive Maintenance engineering technologist with global enterprising technopreneurial skills.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Upon graduation, the students of BET Automotive Maintenance are expected to have the ability to:

  • PLO 1
    Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to defined and applied engineering procedures, processes, systems or methodologies in the area of Automotive Maintenance.
  • PLO 2
    Identify, formulate, research literature and analyse broadly-defined of problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to their discipline or area of specialization.
  • PLO 3
    Design solutions for broadly-defined engineering technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environmental considerations in the area of Automotive Maintenance.
  • PLO 4
    Conduct investigations of broadly-defined problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature review, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion.
  • PLO 5
    Select and apply appropriate technique, resources and modern engineering and IT tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly-defined engineering problems in the area of Automotive Maintenance, with an understanding of the limitations.
  • PLO 6
    Demonstrate understanding of the societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to engineering technology practice and solution to broadly-defined engineering problem.

    Understand the impact of engineering technology solution of broadly-defined egineering problems in a societal and environment context and demonstrate knowledge of and need for sustainable development.
