Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering Technology with Honours
Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kejuruteraan Mekatronik dengan Kepujian

Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering Technology with Honours (MECHA) programme is ETAC accredited and registered at MQA under Electronics and Automation specialization area. The duration of full-time study generally takes 4 years to complete. Students are required to complete 120 credit hours of courses that includes engineering technology core, humanities, technopreneur, capstone, final year project and industrial training. Graduate from MECHA can find their career path in mechatronics approach in production and manufacturing, holistic problem solving in a mixed discipline engineering technology problem, simulation and analysis of digital manufacturing and emerging technology in production planning and manufacturing automation.

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

Majors in engineering technology will be able to:

  • PLO 1
    Apply knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to defined and applied Mechatronics Engineering Technology procedures, processes, systems or methodologies
  • PLO 2
    Identify, formulate, research literature and solve broadly-defined Mechatronics Engineering Technology problems reaching substantiated conclusions using analytical tools appropriate to the area of specialization
  • PLO 3
    Design solutions for broadly-defined Mechatronics Engineering Technology problems and contribute to the design of systems, components or processes to meet specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, cultural, societal and environment considerations
  • PLO 4
    Conduct investigations of broadly-defined Mechatronics Engineering Technology problems; locate, search and select relevant data from codes, data bases and literature, design and conduct experiments to provide valid conclusion.
  • PLO 5
    Select and apply appropriate technique, resources and modern engineering tools, including prediction and modeling, to broadly-defined Mechatronics Engineering Technology activities, with an understanding of the limitations
  • PLO 6
    Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse technical teams
  • PLO 7
    Communicate effectively on broadly-defined Mechatronics Engineering Technology activities with the engineering community and with society at large, by being able to comprehend and write effective reports and design documentation, make effective presentations and give and receive clear instructions
