Bachelor of Environmental Health (Hons)
Sarjana Muda Kesihatan Persekitaran (Kepujian)
This Bachelor of Medical Science Technology in Environmental Healthcare (Hons.) course is designed to prepare students for the technical and professional demands of careers dedicated to the protection of human health and environment. This course embraces broad environmental ethics through human cooperation with nature, including safe home and workplace, clean water supplies, safe and available food supply, waste management and careful resource management for the future.

With the development rising and population growing, this Environmental Healthcare course should be able to produce highly specialized trained workforce equipped with knowledge on theory and practical aspects to protect the environment and the well-being of Malaysian citizens.



Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)

  • PEO 1
    To produce graduates who are knowledgeable, technically-skilled, competitive, and innovative in environmental healthcare industry.
  • PEO 2
    To produce graduates with effective leadership, communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills that upholds professionalism, ethical and social responsibilities to support their role in environmental healthcare industry.

Majors in medical science will be able to:

Career Information

Graduates of this bachelor are qualified to work with government sector (local authorities and ministries) as Environmental Health Officer or Environmental Officer and privates sector (Environmental Executive or Consultant).

  • Entry Requirement:
    Local Student

    • Obtained MUET Band 3 or IELTS (5.5)/TOEFL (550) AND; Local students must meet the English language competency as specified in the programme standard, except for:
      1. individual with academic qualification from institutions that use English language as the medium of instruction; or
      2. individual who studied in Malaysia and intended to further study are subject to item (i); or
      3. individual with O-Level or A-Level qualifications; AND
    • Pass Matriculation/Pre-University/STPM programme or equivalent qualification with minimum GPA 2.33 in (2) TWO of following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, Chemistry OR
    • A-Level programme of equivalent qualification with minimum Grade D in TWO of the following subjects: Biology, Physics/Mathematics, Chemistry; OR
    • Recognised Diploma with minimum CGPA of 2.75 in related field; OR
    • Recognised Diploma with CGPA less than 2.75 in related field and a minimum of 3 years (36 months) working experience in the related field.
    • Foreign Students Candidate should obtained IELTS (5.5)/ TOEFL (550) paper-based or equivalent.
