Rural Development Minister Datuk Dr Abd Latiff visits RCMP

Ipoh (4 September 2020): The Minister of Rural Development YB Datuk Dr Abd Latiff Ahmad made an official visit to UniKL Royal College of Medicine Perak today.

The visit lasted more than two hours. Datuk Dr Abd Latif also toured a section of the campus including the pharmaceutical laboratory.

YB Datuk Dr Abd Latiff was earlier met on arrival by the Secretary-General of the Ministry of Rural Development Dato’ Dr. Ahmad Jailani Muhamed Yunus, Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA) Director-General Datuk Azhar Abdul Manaf, UniKL Acting President/Chief Executive Officer Prof Dr Shahrulniza Musa and UniKL RCMP Chief Executive Office Hisshamudin Omar.

Also present are the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Assoc Prof Dr Syed Rahim Syed Hami, Dean Faculty of Pharmacy and Health Sciences Prof Dr Ahmad Fuad Shamsuddin, Perak State Director Ministry of Rural Development Faizal Shah Safian Suri and Perak State Director of MARA Puan Lailatul Asmah Mohd.Tahir.

The Rural Development Minister was also briefed on current programmes and future development plans on RCMP by Prof Dr Shahrulniza in a closed-door meeting with senior management staff.

He also congratulated UniKL on the success of placing itself in the Times Higher Education World Rankings 2021 and wants this university to pursue continuous improvement and maximise potential business opportunities through offshore programmes and those related to Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR 4.0).
