UniKL MFI-France longstanding collaboration creates global-class talents in engineering technology

The long-established collaboration between Universiti Kuala Lumpur Malaysia France Institute (UniKL MFI) and France is believed to create more global-class talents from this nation in the field of engineering technology.

As the world is moving towards Fourth Industrial Revolution (IR4.0), the Chairman of Majlis Amanah Rakyat (MARA), YB Datuk Seri Panglima Hajah Azizah Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Mohd Dun believed the development of facilities and equipment for training purposes at UniKL MFI is also aligned with the real international industry standards.

In this regard, YB Datuk Seri Panglima Hajah Azizah said, the cooperative relationship between UniKL MFI with academic institutions and industry players in France should be retained to deliver the best learning and training to students in Malaysia.

“Through UniKL MFI, Malaysia has managed to establish good relations with France in the field of education and training. Based on my observation, UniKL MFI also undeniably has good quality of facilities and equipment that are comparable to other international universities and also keeps abreast of current technological developments.

“For example, currently, electric vehicle (EV) has gained world attention, and I am proud to note that UniKL MFI also has the same technology as part of the training and learning for students here.

“This is a good sign that Malaysia is moving in line with other countries and at the same time, students here can also be introduced to all modern technologies, especially in the field of automotive, air conditioning and new technologies developed at this institute,” said YB Datuk Seri Panglima Hajah Azizah after an official visit at UniKL MFI.

During the visit session, she undertook a tour of the facilities and training centers available at UniKL MFI including welding, automotive, and air conditioning workshops. The programme witnesses a total of 62 students who are sponsored by MARA, while another 10 received sponsorship from Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam (JPA) to pursue their studies at universities in France in the fields of Engineering, Political Science, and Business Management.
