UniKL brings its learning system’s technologies to Parliament

Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) made history by showcasing its cutting-edge learning system’s technologies at Parliament for the first time.

The two-day Hari Terbuka Parlimen provided a unique opportunity for the public to experience UniKL’s Train Simulator, Immersive Desa Virtual Reality (VR), and Aedes Augmented Reality (AR) technologies.

The train simulator allows users to simulate a train’s cockpit, providing an immersive experience that enhances the learning process for trainees.

On the other hand, the VR technology, which allows users to immerse themselves in a virtual rural environment, particularly impressed Hironori Hiyama, 40, a Japanese visitor who speaks fluent Malay.

“As a family, we have always been fascinated by the many facets of Malaysian culture, including its food, music, art, and history,” he said, accompanied by his wife and two children.

“It is also amazing to see how new technology can bring people together and make learning so much more engaging and interactive,” he added, beaming with excitement.

Parliament opened its doors to the public for the first time in its history on 6 and 7 May, providing a platform for visitors to learn about the highest legislative body’s role in the country.

UniKL’s participation in the Hari Terbuka Parlimen showcased its innovative learning technologies to a broader audience, further cementing its position as a leading technical university in Malaysia.

According to UniKL’s Deputy President (International, Industrial & Institutional Partnership), Assoc. Prof. Ir. Dr. Azman Senin, it was noted that nearly 1,000 visitors attended the second day of the event.

“We are thrilled to let them experience our technologies for themselves,” he shared.
