Program Learning Outcomes

Overview

The Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence Technology with Honours / Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kecerdasan Buatan dengan Kepujian is designed to produce industry-ready graduates equipped with strong theoretical foundations and hands-on skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI). This programme focuses on the application of AI technologies to solve real-world problems, aligned with current industry needs and future technological advancements.

Students will gain in-depth knowledge in key areas, including Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Management, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Computational Intelligence, Generative AI, and AI Engineering. The curriculum emphasizes practical learning through laboratory work, projects, and industry-relevant case studies, ensuring graduates are competent in developing, deploying, and managing AI-driven solutions.

The programme also integrates industrial training and a final year project, allowing students to apply their knowledge in real industrial environments. Graduates will be well-prepared for careers in AI-related fields or to pursue further studies and research in Artificial Intelligence and related disciplines.

Programme Objectives

The Bachelor of Artificial Intelligence Technology with Honours / Sarjana Muda Teknologi Kecerdasan Buatan dengan Kepujian aims to produce graduates with strong foundational knowledge and practical competencies in artificial intelligence and related technologies to meet current and future industry demands.

The programme equips students with the ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate AI-based solutions for real-world problems across various domains, while fostering analytical thinking, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.

It also emphasizes professionalism, ethics, and responsible AI practices by instilling awareness of the legal, social, and ethical implications of artificial intelligence. In addition, the programme enhances students’ communication, teamwork, and leadership abilities to enable effective participation in multidisciplinary and professional environments, and prepares graduates for lifelong learning, continuous professional development, and further studies in AI and related fields.

Entry Requirements

New Entry Requirement for Bachelor Programme is Based on (MBOT TTAC Standard Second Edition (Academic Sector))
  • Pass Diploma MQF level 4 with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent;
OR
  • Pass Advanced Diploma MQF level 5 with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent;
OR
  • Pass STPM or equivalent with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) subjects;
OR
  • Pass Matriculation/Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 or equivalent;
OR
  • Pass STAM (Grade Jayyid) or equivalent;
OR
  • APEL A as prescribed by MQA;
OR
  • Other recognised qualifications or equivalent.
Equivalent Entry Requirement is based on MoHE, MQA & Professional Bodies Circular, FAQ, Website & previous approval.
  • Pass A-Level with minimum Grade D in TWO (2) subjects;
  • IPTA Foundation/ASASI Qualification which is not accredited by MQA is allowed to enrol into UniKL Bachelor Programme.
  • Pass in International Baccalaureate (IB) with at least 24 points.
  • Pass Higher National Diploma (HND) UK (MQF Level 4) in related area and recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate.

Qualification of 12 years of schooling with the following conditions:

  • It is the highest school qualification in the country of origin;
  • It can be used as entry qualification for bachelor’s degree programme in the country of origin.
Entry DVM/DKM & DLKM starting 21 April 2020
  1. Pass Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/ Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/ Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and the programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or others Accreditation bodies that had been recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate;
  2. Pass the DKM/DLKM/DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND have at least two (2) years of work experience in the related field. The programme must get Full Accreditation (FA) by MQA or others Accreditation bodies that had been recognized by government of Malaysia and according to approval by UniKL Senate;

Students who enroll with qualification from institutions that fully use English as the language of instruction or from English speaking countries are EXCLUDED from the requirements of competence in English language as stated above.
