Overview
This programme provides students with the theoretical and practical foundations for knowledge and skills acquisition in various disciplines of business management and prepare them for undergraduate studies at Higher Learning Institutions (HLIs) throughout Malaysia.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEO)
- PEO 1
UniKL graduates who are able to explain concepts, theories and principles in business foundation by showing optimum knowledge, competency and innovativeness. - PEO 2
UniKL graduates who are effective leaders with teamwork skills in business foundation as well as verbal and non-verbal interpersonal skills. - PEO 3
UniKL graduates who are able to apply information to solve problems and committed towards the importance of lifelong learning as well as continuous improvement in business foundation. - PEO 4
UniKL graduates who are able to apply professionalism, ethics and social responsibility in sourcing and processing data with business foundation using appropriate digital / technology applications.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLO)
- PLO1:
Utilise facts to describe and discuss concepts, principles, and processes in business foundation. - PLO2:
Apply fundamental principles in business foundation to identify and solve problem. - PLO3:
Conduct academic activities such as collect, analyse, organise, and process data/information to make conclusions individually or in groups. - PLO4:
Communicate effectively orally and in writing. - PLO5:
Utilise basic digital technology applications to seek and process data related to business foundation. - PLO6:
Search, interpret, and use relevant information to pursue lifelong learning independently.

Education pathway
Our intensive and focused programme enables students to;
- Undergo a seamless transition from the foundation into the degree level study
- Make an informed choice about their preferred programme at the degree level
- Develop independent learning skills through problem-based, practical and student-centric earning approaches
- Work effectively in groups to conduct research and deliver effective presentations.
Successful completion of the Foundation programme qualifies students’ entry into the first year of the undergraduate degree programme offered at UniKL Business School.
- Pass SPM / SPMV with at least credits in FIVE (5) subjects; OR
- Pass the O-Level with at least a C grade in FIVE (5) subjects; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications

Program Learning Outcomes
Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.
Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.
Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
