Program Learning Outcomes
Overview
Students who successfully complete the Foundation Programme will automatically progress onto the first year of an appropriate bachelor degree of choice. This is a self-sponsored program.
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
The objectives of the program are to:
- PEO1:
UniKL graduates who are able to explain concepts, theories and principles in their area of study by showing optimum knowledge, competency and innovativeness. - PEO2:
UniKL graduates who are effective leaders with teamwork skills as well as verbal and non-verbal interpersonal skills. - PEO3:
UniKL graduates who are able to apply information to solve problems and committed towards the importance of lifelong learning as well as continuous improvement. - PEO4:
UniKL graduates who are able to apply professionalism, ethics and social responsibility in sourcing and processing data using appropriate digital/technology applications.
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
Upon completion of the programs, students will be able to:

Utilise facts to describe and discuss concepts, principles, and processes in Science and Technology field. - PLO2:
Apply fundamental principles in Science and Technology to identify and solve problems. - PLO3:
Conduct academic activities such as collect, analyse, organise, and process data/information to make conclusions individually or in groups. - PLO4:
Communicate effectively orally and in writing - PLO5:
Utilise basic digital technology applications to seek and process data related to Science and Technology. - PLO6:
Search, interpret, and use relevant information to pursue lifelong learning independently.

Local Students
- Pass SPM / SPMV with at least credits in FIVE (5) subjects; OR
- Pass the O-Level with at least a C grade in FIVE (5) subjects; OR
- Other equivalent qualifications.
- Student must complete 11 years of schooling and obtain general pass in their Secondary School Certificate min Grade C in 5 subjects.
- O-levels or equivalent with min Grade C in 5 subjects.
- Eligibility for specialized Foundations such as medicine, engineering and student accounting require additional subject credits (e.g. Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and Science) at SPM / SPMV / O-Level level or subject to the requirements of the field offered.

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.
Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.
Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
