Graduates will have excellent career opportunities as researchers, academicians, consultants and project managers in any institution of research and higher education, government and non-government agencies in medical and health sciences.

Entry Requirements

  • A Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) in the field or related fields accepted by the HEP Senate; OR
  • Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s Degree (Level 7, MQF) recognized by the Government of Malaysia.
  • Candidates without a related qualification or relevant working experience must undergo prerequisite courses determined by the HEP.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) with the following conditions:
    • First Class (CGPA 3.67 or higher) in Pharmacy or related fields (Academic / TVET);
    • Undergo internal assessment; and
    • Any other requirements of the HEP.
  • Conversion from Master’s to Doctoral Degree is subject to:
    • Within one year (Full Time) or two years (Part Time);
    • Demonstrated doctoral-level research competency; and
    • Approval of the HEP Senate.
English Requirement

  • IELTS 5.0 / TOEFL 500 or equivalent.
  • UniKL Policy UniKL/CQA/POL/06
    • For Bachelor and postgraduate programmes, IELTS 5.0 or equivalent is required.

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.

Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.

Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
