Program Learning Outcomes

Overview

Management is developing and implementing systems for a business to run smoothly, creating value and accomplishing the goals and objectives. Management comprises planning, organising, staffing, leading or directing, and controlling an organisation or initiative to accomplish a goal. Additionally, management involves leveraging an enterprise’s human capital to contribute to organisational success. The area presents a creative and innovative approach to address the challenges of globalisation and sustainability.

Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
  • PEO 1:
    UniKL graduates who possess in-depth and comprehensive theoretical and practical knowledge in entrepreneurial and business management.
  • PEO 2:

Entry Requirements
  • A pass in STPM with at least Grade C (GP 2.0) in any TWO (2) subjects*;
  • A pass in STAM with at least Grade Jayyid*;
  • Matriculation or Foundation with at least CGPA of 2.00;
  • A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;
  • An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) with at least CGPA of 2.00;
  • A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval***;
  • A Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval***;
  • Other equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

International students are required to achieve a minimum score of Band 3 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Low B2)**.

*Additional requirement: A pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level or equivalent qualifications (English subject requirement does not apply to international students).

  • Can be waived if higher qualifications contain Mathematics and English with equivalent/higher achievement.
  • Malaysian students using English as the medium of instruction in previous study or with at least Band 2 in MUET or equivalent can be exempted from a pass in English requirement.
  • Those without a pass in Mathematics and/or English at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but must attend special enhancement course(s) that are SPM equivalent and remedial in nature.
  • Students must pass these enhancement courses as a prerequisite to related core courses taught in English.

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.

Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.

Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
