Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing (Honours)

With our program we aim to provide an internationally recognised degree in marketing and to produce graduates with functional marketing and business skills, strong entrepreneurial spirit, exemplary leadership skills, high commitment towards pursuit of knowledge and excellence, and are innovative, socially responsible and good team players who are nationalistic and yet global in outlook and behaviour.
Programme Education Objectives (PEOs)
Majors in business administration will be able to:
- PEO 1:
To produce graduates who are knowledgeable, competent and innovative who will contribute towards the requirement of the human capital in the field of marketing and business management to meet the demand in the related industries.
- PEO 2:
To produce graduates who have effective leadership qualities to support their roles in marketing management activities.
- PEO 3:
To produce graduates who are committed to the importance of lifelong learning and continuous improvement.
- PEO 4:
To produce graduates who practice professionalism with ethics and social responsibility.
- PEO 5:
To produce graduates who are capable of embarking on business and technopreneurial activities
Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
- PLO 1:
Apply marketing and business management knowledge, and entrepreneurship skills in business related activities.
- PLO 2:
Demonstrate understanding of knowledge on marketing management, business practices and technology entrepreneurial competencies.
- PLO 3:
Demonstrate the ability to clearly explain the significance of marketing and business management in economic development
- PLO 4:
Relate to the importance of ethical awareness and quality standards in functioning effectively as an individual, as a member or leader in diverse team, and as an entrepreneur.
- PLO 5:
Demonstrate understanding and practice of marketing in challenging and competitive environment or working context.
- PLO 6:
Develop concepts for evaluating marketing and business management strategies, and be able to articulate the processes from lifestyle ventures to high-potential enterprises.
- PLO 7:
Communicate effectively with others the implications of management decisions and other entrepreneurial activities that may affect anyone in any particular context.
- PLO 8:
Demonstrate the understanding of the key aspects of managing and orchestrating marketing and business management activities, in particular to impeding crises and to achieve sustainable competitive advantage.

- STPM :
Pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of grade C (CGPA 2.00) in any of the TWO (2) subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at the SPM level, or equivalent; OR
- A Level :
Pass at A-Level or its equivalent in any TWO (2) subjects and a pass in Mathematics and English at O-level or equivalent; OR
- STAM :
Pass Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Jayyid and pass in Mathematics and English at the SPM level; OR
- Diploma :
Qualifications that are equivalent to Diploma or Advanced Diploma (stage 4 or 5 from the Malaysian Qualification Framework from Institutions of Higher Learning (IHL) recognized by Malaysia government with a minimum of 2.00 CGPA; OR
Pass Vocational Diploma Malaysia (DVM), minimum 2.00 CGPA and a pass in the Vocational Certificate Malaysia (SVM) with Academic CGPA equal to or more than 2.00; Vocational CGPA equal to or more than 2.67 and competent all vocational modules; and a distinction in Bahasa Melayu SVM Code 1104

- Matriculation :
Pass Foundation in Science and Technology/Foundation in Science/Foundation in Business from UniKL with minimum 2.00 CGPA.; OR
Pass Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent from Institution of Higher Learning (IHL) recognized by the Malaysian Government with a minimum 2.00 CGPA; OR
- IB :
Pass International Baccalaureate (IB) with a minimum of 24 points; OR
- Other Qualifications
Pass Australian Foundation; OR
Pass Australian Year 12; OR
Pass Ontario Secondary School Diploma with a score of 60% in TWO (2) subjects; OR
Other qualifications recognized by University Kuala Lumpur, Senate.
Candidates from Matriculation/STPM, STAM, Foundation and Diploma can receive exemptions from obtaining a pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level, if their qualifications include Mathematics and English subjects with achievements equivalent/more than the Mathematics and English subjects at SPM level.
For International Students, a minimum score of 5.5 in IELTS or equivalent is required unless;
- The international student is from a country where English is the spoken language or
- The international student academic qualification is from an institution where the entire medium of instruction is in English
- The international student has studied in Malaysia and plans to continue studying at a higher level, subjected to item (b).
