Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Industrial Design
Bachelor of Design (Honours) in Industrial Design is a three (3) years programme developed for students who are passionate in arts and design. This programme allows student to choose elective courses from three different specialization, namely furniture design, product design and transport design, that makes this program different from the current programs in the market. Throughout three years students will be encouraged to explore design and development process in relation to scales of manufacture with a focus on usability, ergonomics, aesthetics, materials, manufacturing, and production. This programme is offered to fulfil both the present and future industry needs where the graduates will be able to:
- Incorporating technical skills from integration of ergonomic, aesthetics, technology, and marketing values
- Demonstrating innovative and creative use of digital technology and numerical techniques
- Exhibiting entrepreneurial skills

International Student: RM 75,750(Full Time) - Entry Requirement:
Local Student- A pass in STPM with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, or its equivalent; OR
- A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid, or its equivalent;OR
- A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent; OR
- A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) with a minimum CGPA of 2.00, or its equivalent; OR
- A pass in Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia. (DLKM) / Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM) in suitable fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 subjected to Senate / Academic Board’s approval (Note: The HEPs are to conduct screening and provide necessary guidance specific to the discipline of the programme); OR
- A pass in DKM / DLKM / DVM with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 and at least have two (2) years working experience in a related discipline; OR
- Other relevant equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government. AND
- Pass an interview OR submission of portfolio determined by the HEP as required.
Minimum English language requirements are IELTS 5.0 / CEFR B1 or equivalent TOEFL PBT (410-413) or TOEFL IBT (34) or CAE (160) (Cambridge English: Advance) / CEFR B2 or CPE (180) (Cambridge English: Proficiency) / CEFR C1 or PTE (Pearson Test of English) (36) or MUET (Malaysian University English Test) (band 3).
