Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Analytical Economics

A substantial knowledge in Economics is a commanding skill set in grasping the global economic systems. And this valuable knowledge is critical in dealing with those economic challenges and in resolving issues ensuing in our everyday life. Indeed, controlling the economic analytics is essential as an informant for understanding the dynamic of these economic systems. For those who are going to attend this program, rest assured that you will be exposed to the cutting edge technologies for instruction and learning process such as Online Distance Learning, SAS Big Data Analytics and Artificial Intelligence applications, and experimental economics (DataStream). This program will be led by academic staff and industry experts who are well-versed in their field ranging from Analytical Economics, Econometrics, Development Economics, Banking and Financial Institutions as well Islamic Finance.

    Incorporate the Islamic Economic and Finance concepts to the decision-making process; and

  • Entry Requirement:
    Local Student

    • A Pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (CGPA 2.0) in any 2 subjects, and a
      pass in Mathematics and English at SPM level, or any equivalent qualification;
      or
    • A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid, and a pass in Mathematics
      and English at SPM level;
    • Any qualifications equivalent to Diploma or Advanced Diploma (Level 4 or 5, MQF);
      or
    • Matriculation/ Foundation qualification with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of
      4.00, or any equivalent qualification.

    Note: The requirement to pass
    Mathematics and English subjects at SPM level for candidate in category (i.) and (ii.) can be waived should the qualifications contain Mathematics and
    English subjects with equivalent/higher achievement.

  • International Student

      International students are required to achieve minimum score of 5.5 for IELTS or its equivalent.
