Program Learning Outcomes

Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Psychology (Honours) is a full-time undergraduate program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of psychological principles, theories, and practices. The program is offered by UniKL RCMP and conducted in English. It spans over three years and requires students to complete a total of 120 credit hours.

Career Information

Graduates of this program can pursue careers in various fields, including clinical psychology, counselling, human resources, education, and research. The program equips students with the necessary skills to work in both public and private sectors, contributing to mental health and wellbeing initiatives.

Entry Requirements Malaysian Students: STPM / STAM

A pass in STPM with a minimum Grade C (GP 2.00) in any two (2) subjects, a Credit in Mathematics and General Science / Applied Science / Biology / Physics / Chemistry AND a pass in English at SPM level or its equivalent OR A pass in STAM with a minimum grade of Jayyid.

Note: Those without a pass / credit in Mathematics and / or Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science at SPM level or equivalent can be admitted but are required to attend special enhancement course(s). These special enhancement courses should be SPM equivalent, remedial in nature. Students must pass / credit the Mathematics and Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science / Applied Science enhancement courses as a prerequisite to related core courses taught in English.

MATRICULATION / FOUNDATION

A Certificate in Matriculation or Foundation with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 with a Credit in Mathematics and General Science / Applied Science / Biology / Physics / Chemistry AND a pass in English at SPM / O Level / IGCSE or its equivalent.

DIPLOMA

A Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in any field with at least CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 with a Credit in Mathematics and General Science / Applied Science / Biology / Physics / Chemistry AND a pass in English at SPM / O-Level / IGCSE or its equivalent OR A Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM) / Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM) / Diploma Vocational Malaysia (DVM) subjected to HEP Senate / Academic Board’s approval and accredited by MQA and other related bodies OR An Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF) in the relevant fields with at least CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00.

International Students:

Must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum IELTS score of Band 5.0 or its equivalent.

RM 12,500.00 (Per Semester)
RM 75,000.00 (Total Tuition Fee)

International Students:

RM 16,500.00 (Per Semester)
RM 99,000.00 (Total Tuition Fee)

Demonstrate an understanding of how communication shapes patterns of social interaction, the expression of cultural values and norms, political practices and relations of power, and our positions as local and global citizens.

Be able to use a variety of methodological tools to analyze interpersonal, intercultural, and rhetorical discourse that structures everyday interactions in both our public and private lives.

Demonstrate an understanding of the possibilities, problems, and history of discourse and deliberation in democracy and will be prepared to use their knowledge to work for a just and more humane world.
