Program Learning Outcomes
Overview
The Japan Universities Programme (JUP) at Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) is an elite educational pathway designed to prepare outstanding SPM graduates for engineering studies in Japan. This program aligns with Malaysia’s National Investment Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 and the TVET Madani policy to develop a high-skilled and expert workforce essential for the nation’s progress. JUP is tailored for academically excellent SPM graduates who meet MARA’s stringent eligibility criteria, including a minimum of 7As with A grades in Mathematics and Physics. Participants are sponsored under the Young Talent Development Program (YTP MARA).
Programme Educational Objectives (PEOs)
- PEO1:
Produced graduates with a foundation in basic mathematics and science, technical competency for multi-tasking and creative thinking capabilities in core 2 Electrical and Electronics Engineering fundamental knowledge - PEO2:
Produced graduates with effective communication skills, with greater emphasis in Japanese Language and met the educational requirements to enable them to pursue their studies in Japan. - PEO3:

Programme Learning Outcomes (PLOs)
- PLO1:
Apply basic knowledge of mathematics and science, including algebra, calculus, applied mathematics, statistics, physics and chemistry in Electrical and Electronic Engineering - PLO2:
Demonstrate proficiency in the advanced Electrical and Electronics Engineering including electric and electronic circuits, electromagnetism, solid state physics, control theory and information processing - PLO3:
Apply the fundamental engineering knowledge to analyze, identify and solve Electrical and Electronic Engineering problems - PLO4:
Ability to design and conduct laboratory experiments as well as analyze and interpret data in Electrical and Electronic system - PLO5:
Recognize the impact of engineering solutions in a global, economic, environmental and societal context - PLO6:
Articulate and justify technical solutions to diverse audiences through oral, written and graphical communication in Japanese language including the appropriate use of computer software - PLO7:

- Meet the minimum requirements of the Program Standards / Professional Body requirements / MQA recommendations in force for students recruitment during that period; or
- Other qualifications recognized as equivalent by the Government.
- Any changes to the Program Standards / Professional Body requirements / MQA recommendations will apply to new cohort students only.
- The implementation of entry qualification requirements based on Program Standards / Professional Body requirements / MQA recommendations is applicable based on the provisions stated in the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) circular when enforcing the application of a Program Standard / Professional Body requirements / MQA recommendations.
